The Minority Engineering Program implements and supports outreach programs for students in grades K-12 to identify and attract underrepresented minority students to engineering and The Ohio State University.

Camp Engineer is a one-week day camp that seeks to provide middle school students with an in depth exposure, understanding, and appreciation of engineering. Click here for more information about Camp Engineer.



MEPSTEM Leadership Camp is a one-week day camp that helps Columbus City high school STEM Club leaders share best practices and customize club plans for the school year. 

Noche de Ciencias: The OSU student chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) sponsors Noche de Ciencias (Night of Science). The event is open to any middle or high school student along with their parents. Student participants will have the opportunity to do hands-on engineering projects with the assistance of current engineering students and explore STEM career paths. Bilingual workshops will be provided for the parents and will cover topics such as “the benefits of a STEM education” and “how to prepare your child for college.” Parents will also have a chance to do a design project with their child. There is no cost to participate in this event.
